Director, Middle Market Commercial Bank Relationship Manager

About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (RM) with Middle Market Commercial Banking expertise to join the firm’s Middle Market Commercial Banking Group. This position focuses on developing and maintaining client relationships, providing strategic financial guidance and solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
• Originate and pursue new business opportunities, acquiring new clients for the bank.
• Deliver a broad range of financial solutions, including credit, treasury management, deposit, and related banking services.
• Work closely with internal teams and product specialists to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
• Audit and mitigate financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks associated with client relationships.
• Establish a strong brand presence through industry networking and community involvement.
• Adhere to the strong Capital One culture and values and represent the firm with integrity in all situations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial, legal, operational, and reputational risks associated with commercial banking.
• Develop a strong professional network through active community engagement.
• Show strong interpersonal skills with a track record of fostering deep relationships with key decision-makers and developing new client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
• At least 5 years of experience with commercial credit and treasury management solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting
• Completion of a formal credit training program
• Advanced knowledge of industry, market, and banking products
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

• Jericho, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for MMB Relationship Manager IV
• New York, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for MMB Relationship Manager IV

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
