About the role
The Director of the Metabolism and Weight Loss Program oversees all aspects of the Valley LifeStart medical weight loss program and coordinates and integrates medical weight loss services across Valley Health System. The Director leads the strategic vision and direction of the comprehensive medical weight loss program, ensuring alignment with the Bariatric Center of Excellence and the organization's mission and goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Valley LifeStart medical weight loss program
- Coordinate and integrate medical weight loss services across Valley Health System
- Lead the strategic vision and direction of the comprehensive medical weight loss program
- Ensure alignment of goals with the Bariatric Center of Excellence and the organization’s mission and goals
- Lead a team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and dieticians to provide a holistic and comprehensive approach to weight management
- Provide clinical services as a bariatrician, including screening and follow-up patients for obesity and obesity-related comorbidities, performing body composition & metabolic assessments, counseling on lifestyle changes, and participating in a multidisciplinary team-based approach for medical weight loss
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Prior management and leadership experience in Obesity Medicine
- Board eligible or certification in Obesity Medicine or Endocrinology
- Existing or eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required

- Compensation range: $260,000 to $290,000
