Job Summary
Dir Medical Staff Services plans, directs, and coordinates credentialing and medical staff functions at Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH). Credentialing is the process of obtaining, verifying, and assessing clinician qualifications to provide patient care in BSWH hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory care facilities.
Dir Medical Staff Services develops and establishes policies, bylaws, procedures, and practices related to credentialing and medical staff practices. Dir Medical Staff Services monitors policy implementation, communication, and compliance.
Dir Medical Staff Services identifies and implements credentialing improvements, such as best practices, standardized processes, technology solutions, and collaborative tools. Dir Medical Staff Services ensures that credentialing and medical staff processes follow all legal, accreditation, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Dir Medical Staff Services collaborates with senior leadership, chief medical officers (CMO), and hospital administration. Dir Medical Staff Services helps develop standardized and consistent credentialing and peer review processes and practices.
