Director Medical Staff Services

Job Summary

As our Director of Medical Staff Services at Woodland Memorial Hospital, you will lead a team of Medical Staff Coordinators and ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements related to credentialing and privileging of Medical Staff. You will provide accurate and timely updates to the Executive Leadership Team and oversee the operations of the Medical Staff Administration office. You will guide and oversee the MSO Coordinators, facilitate committee meetings, process applications, manage financial activities, and provide reports to hospital leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Medical Staff Coordinators
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
• Provide accurate and timely updates to the Executive Leadership Team
• Oversight of Medical Staff Administration office operations
• Guide and oversee MSO Coordinators
• Facilitate committee meetings
• Process applications
• Manage financial activities
• Provide reports to hospital leadership

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Medical Staff Services Department, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity
• Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification required within 12 months of start date

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related health or management field preferred
