About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Director Medical Science Liaison Oncology to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals
- Communicate clinical and scientific data through presentations and educational programs
- Support synthesis and communication of insights from KOLs to internal teams
- Provide scientific support for medical congresses and advisory boards
- Establish credibility as a scientific expert for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to execute medical strategies
- Stay current with scientific literature and competitive landscape
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in scientific or medical discipline
- 8+ years experience as an MSL or in a similar role
- 3+ years experience specifically in the GI cancer disease state area
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and drug development processes
- Knowledge within the oncology therapeutic area
- Proven ability to analyze and synthesize scientific information effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
