Director Maternal Child
About the role
Our Neonatal ICU, Mother-Baby, Labor & Delivery, Lactation, and Perinatal Education departments have 150-200 deliveries a month, two OR's for cesarean sections, and an average daily census of eight NICU babies. Our units are busy, fast-paced, and offer the opportunity to provide specialty and critical care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our hospital has earned the Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care from The Joint Commission, setting us apart in the community as a leader in maternal and neonatal care. We work closely with Children's Mercy neonatology specialists who staff our NICU and delivery team 24/7, as well as respiratory care and other specialists, to provide the best possible outcomes. Our culture values each team member's expertise and input, creating a positive, patient-centered experience for our families. The Director Maternal Child provides strategic and operational leadership for Maternal Child Health services across the continuum of care, including obstetrics, postpartum, newborn nursery, lactation, and neonatal care. Ensures safe, efficient, family-centered, and cost-effective care through evidence-based practice, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, workforce development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
