Perinatal Director

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care as per nursing practices and objectives.
• Organize and manage the perinatal care department, including associated costs and services.
• Strategically plan, manage projects, and develop perinatal care programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with finance and billing teams to establish and monitor financial goals for perinatal services.
• Provide strategic leadership to care teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Lead initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes in the department.
• Build and manage the overall nursing team at the perinatal department.

Job Specifications

• Masters-level preparation in nursing or related health-care field preferred.
• Required minimum 5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role with fiscal and human resource management responsibility.
• Required current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Illinois.
• NCC C-EFM certified.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. BLS and ACLS certification required within the last year.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex healthcare challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
