Responsibilities

  • Lead a marketing team responsible for the strategic and day-to-day marketing, communications, and event needs of the college.
  • Manage the hiring, training, evaluation, and retention of the Dean's Office marketing and event staff, as well as event staff from units within RCHM.
  • Oversee the creation and editing of presentations, speeches, and letters for the Dean and others who are representing the college.
  • Serve as the college expert in relation to current marketing trends.
  • Create, design, and edit publications, newsletters, websites, brochures, social media, and other printed and digital media, ensuring they are on schedule, on budget, in alignment with college priorities, and within available resources.
  • Develop and manage a sustainable, strategic approach to public relations efforts for the college by acting as the college's primary point of contact for external media.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with college and university stakeholders, including community partners, coordinating with them as needed for college events and community engagement.
  • Work in coordination with the UCF Foundation and Alumni leadership.
  • Develop and oversee the Marketing, Communications, and Events budget, including timely and accurate P-card reporting.
  • Afford unique projects as assigned by the Dean.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic marketing and communications efforts for a complex organization, preferably within a higher education environment.
  • Experience in enrollment marketing, student recruitment campaigns, or outreach initiatives designed to support college-level enrollment goals.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating across internal teams and external partners at all levels to drive initiatives forward.
  • Experience managing brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and visual standards across communications and materials.
  • Hands-on experience overseeing digital communications, including websites, social media platforms, and content strategy.
  • Experience supervising professional staff, including the ability to set priorities, provide mentorship, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
