Director, Marketing & Communications
About the role
The Director of Marketing & Communications is a senior leadership role responsible for setting and executing a comprehensive, data-informed marketing and communications strategy that elevates the Pro Sports Assembly (PRO) brand, strengthens stakeholder engagement, and drives membership growth, partnership activation, and organizational visibility. Reporting directly to the CEO, this director leads both the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of all marketing and communications functions — internal and external — and serves as the organization's primary brand steward.

Qualifications
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive marketing and communications experience, including demonstrated success leading integrated, metrics-driven campaigns. 3–5 years of people management experience. Previous experience in professional sports, association management, a marketing agency, or a mission-driven nonprofit strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting membership development, partnership activation, and/or revenue-generating marketing initiatives.
- Experience managing digital platforms, CRM systems, and marketing technology stacks.
- Minimum 2–4 years coordinating membership engagement activities in a professional, nonprofit, sports, or related environment.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Experience with website platforms and working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and management/scheduling tools.
- Experience with CRM and project management software (e.g., Salesforce, Airtable, G Suite, Personify).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and analytics tools.
- Experience with video editing (non-linear), webinar platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex), and related hardware.
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace.

Physical & Travel Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Travel up to 20% of the time; availability for evening and weekend work required during peak periods. Attendance at various PRO events, conferences, and programming required.
