About the role
Develop and direct strategic marketing and communications efforts to connect the world with God and one another.
Responsibilities
- Empower leaders and remove barriers for members of marketing and communications to maximize their vision for ministry in alignment with the broader church vision.
- Cultivate and maintain a healthy culture that allows staff to flourish in both life and leadership.
- Galvanize alignment across all staff and ministries toward a united direction and church vision.
- Serve as the supervisor and coach for key roles in marketing and communications.
- Oversee the daily operations of marketing and communications, empowering the team and removing barriers for execution.
- Participate in the development of marketing and communications strategies and planning.
- Own the outcomes of the marketing and communications team and assigned initiatives.
- Serve as the steward of the Alliance Church brand, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, voice, and experience across all ministries and communication channels.
- Develop communication strategies for major organizational initiatives and updates, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Own churchwide public relations strategy, serving as the main contact for media inquiries and supporting the Executive Team and Governing Board in top-level PR efforts.
- Develop and direct PR strategy and training.
- Be a Culture Leader: Use Fundamentals to give content to team members’ decisions.
- Help with churchwide efforts: Be a team player in churchwide ministry, campaigns, or events.
- Maintain churchwide systems: Maintain strategic plans, audits, schedules, processes, etc.
Requirements
- A committed, growing follower of Jesus Christ with an authentic and consistent spiritual walk and relationships.
- Maintain family and personal integrity based on II Timothy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people in a positive, courteous, and professional manner.
- Teachable spirit with an eager readiness to serve.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Excellent planning, organizational, follow-up, and administrative skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
- Previous ministry experience is a plus.
- A sense of call to this ministry’s particular mission field.
