DIRECTOR LABORATORY, LAB ADMIN

Job Summary

The Director plans, directs, and supervises all technical and administrative aspects of SGMC Laboratory Services and all SGMC Facility Laboratories for inpatient and outpatient services. Responsibilities include integrating Laboratory systems, centralizing procedures, ensuring profitability and productivity, supervising personnel, maintaining department procedures, communicating between the laboratory and other departments, and maintaining regulatory/accreditation standards.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent, certification as MT(ASCP), or MT(AMT)
• 5-7 years direct management experience in a hospital laboratory setting
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred
• Valid and current Georgia driver’s license

Qualifications

• Strong personnel management, communication, and public relations skills
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory requirements
• Ability to operate office equipment, computer terminals, and lab equipment
