Responsibilities

• Direct the 24-hour operations and activities of the clinical laboratory to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee laboratory specimen collection, specimen management, and clerical functions.
• Manage in-house and referral testing services.
• Actively participate in strategic and budgetary planning for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Provide direction to department personnel to achieve operational and technical objectives, including workflow design, service quality, financial performance, regulatory compliance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry required.
• State of Florida Supervisor's License in at least three areas: Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Microbiology, Serology/Immunology.
• Three plus years of experience at a supervisory level in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
