Director, IT Business Partner - Commercial

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for the Commercial organization.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to define and execute IT strategies that support operational and innovation goals.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor, ensuring technology initiatives align with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities in AI, automation, and analytics to improve quality, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Support system strategy and governance for critical business systems (SAP, Salesforce, PIM, company website, etc.).
  • Ensure technology solutions comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with process owners to optimize SAP and other enterprise applications for commercial teams.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to support scalable and integrated solutions.
  • Develop business cases and value propositions for technology investments.
  • Lead IT projects and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Partner with executives and business unit leads to capture VOC (voice of the customer) and translate that feedback into evaluable, actionable tasks.

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of experience in IT roles supporting Commercial organizations in bioprocessing, biotech, or life sciences.
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders to define and deliver technology strategies.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or managing SAP, CRM, CPQ, PIM, PXM, DAM or similar systems.
  • Expertise in GMP and regulatory requirements in bioprocessing.
  • Experience leading or supporting AI, automation, or data analytics initiatives in commercial environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business cases and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Hands-on technical orientation with the ability to guide and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with enterprise systems integration and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in a Hybrid, fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
