What You’ll Do
- Infrastructure and Operations Lead IT infrastructure across headquarters and all locations, including site networks, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune-managed endpoints.
- Oversee technology readiness for new site openings, including network, security, imaging, and asset standards.
- Support headquarters technology, Teams Rooms, telephony, and escalated end-user issues.
- Maintain asset inventory, hardware lifecycle, and technology procurement processes.
Security and Compliance
- Own and improve the security stack, including Defender, Sentinel, email security, DLP, LAPS, and Entra ID privileged access.
- Lead vulnerability management and penetration test remediation across infrastructure and third-party applications.
- Support PCI compliance and the SOC 2 program, including controls, evidence, and ownership tracking.
- Support audits, cybersecurity reviews, business continuity planning, and hurricane disaster recovery readiness.
Vendor and MSP Management
- Manage the MSP relationship, including service levels, ticket reviews, business reviews, and invoice accuracy.
- Help transition more IT capability in-house by hiring, developing, and leading internal team members.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, review telecom and cloud spend, and drive practical cost savings.
SaaS Governance and Applications
- Govern the SaaS portfolio, including access workflows, license optimization, and application rationalization.
- Lead identity lifecycle improvements, including onboarding, offboarding, group-based licensing, and Conditional Access.
- Manage Microsoft 365 licensing strategy, including E3 migration and frontline licensing tiers.
- Partner with business owners on enterprise applications such as Coupa, Docebo, Paycom, Sage, Airmason, and Smartsheet.
AI Program and Innovation
- Support the enterprise AI program, including policy, DLP guardrails, deployment, and licensing.
- Identify automation opportunities that improve IT and business operations.
Leadership and Strategy
- Partner with the CTO on the technology roadmap, IT budget, and executive reporting.
- Improve infrastructure, security, and IT support as the company grows.
- Support M&A due diligence, integration planning, and systems consolidation.
- Build practical IT documentation, knowledge resources, and user enablement materials.
- Recruit, develop, and lead internal IT staff.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in IT leadership.
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Azure, and Teams.
- Experience supporting multi-site or retail IT operations at scale; 50+ locations preferred.
- Working knowledge of PCI DSS, SOC 2, external audits, and related controls.
- Experience managing MSPs and technology vendors, including contracts, service levels, and cost controls.
- Network and cloud (preferably Azure) infrastructure experience, including firewalls, SD-WAN, ISP management, and VLAN design.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to present complex topics to senior leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using AI tools or automation platforms to improve operating efficiency.
- Nice to have experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, or M&A-heavy environments.
- Experience building an internal IT function or transitioning work from an MSP.
- Familiarity with SaaS management, DLP tooling, and AI governance.
- Exposure to data platforms and finance systems such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Coupa, or similar tools.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator, Security+, CISM, or ITIL.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
