About the role

This position will lead the internal audit team consisting of Senior Manager, Managers, and Executives, contributing toward the establishment of an effective risk control environment in the Group. Key deliverables include the delivery of internal audit plans for REITs, project delivery and management, coaching of staff, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute audit programs to adequately identify and assess risks.
  • Perform walkthroughs with process owners to identify key processes and controls, as well as identify gaps.
  • Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Controls testing and review testing procedures.
  • Participate in or lead internal ethics and fraud investigations and assist in ad-hoc projects when needed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes and controls, recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise, provide leadership, and ensure the effective functioning of the Internal Audit Team.
  • Participate in ad-hoc and special assignments/projects as delegated by the CEO.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent and at least one (preferably several) recognized professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or CMA.
  • At least 15 years of relevant working experience and 5 years of people management experience.
  • Excellent business communication, influencing, and persuasive skills, along with strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements with experience working in an international company based in Asia.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required to present effectively across the Group.

Pay

$220,000 - $245,000

This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the indicated state’s Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful applicant in the state of hire might be paid and assumes the candidate will perform the role from New York. Similar positions located outside the state may receive different compensation. Actual pay rates may vary as permitted by law and are based on factors including work experience, industry experience, skills, training, certifications, and market/organizational considerations.

In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
