Director, Integrated Marketing
About the role
Ro is seeking a Director of Integrated Marketing to lead the development and execution of its highest‑priority integrated marketing campaigns. This senior, hands‑on role will translate strong creative ideas into cohesive campaigns that span paid, owned, and earned channels, aligning Brand, Product Marketing, Growth, Communications, Insights, and other teams to maximize impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead Ro’s highest‑priority integrated campaigns.
- Own the integrated marketing strategy and execution for major consumer campaigns, including celebrity partnerships, brand moments, and other high‑priority launches.
- Translate campaign objectives, audience insights, product claims, and an aligned creative concept into a clear integrated strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Identify opportunities to maximize a creative concept across channels, leveraging each channel’s unique strengths.
- Build the campaign architecture: define channel roles, key moments, sequencing, dependencies, and how the pieces work together for greater impact.
- Maintain a holistic view of the consumer experience to ensure cohesive brand encounters.
- Serve as the single accountable marketing lead for assigned integrated campaigns, uniting Brand, Product Marketing, Growth, Communications, and other functions.
- Partner with Product Marketing to understand consumer insight, value proposition, and product claims.
- Collaborate closely with Brand on creative concepts, pressure‑testing ideas for cross‑channel extension.
- Work with channel owners to shape how the campaign lives within their channels, incorporating their expertise into the integrated strategy.
- Create clarity across complex initiatives by establishing priorities, roles, decision points, dependencies, timelines, and operating rhythms.
- Anticipate risks and resolve cross‑functional blockers before they affect launch quality or timing.
- Develop a repeatable approach to integrated campaign planning that balances speed with strategic rigor and executional excellence.
- Encourage teams to think beyond individual channel deliverables and identify synergistic opportunities across the campaign.
- Provide a strong point of view on effective integrated consumer marketing and help evolve Ro’s presence during major marketing moments.
- Establish feedback loops post‑launch, partnering with channel teams to assess performance and apply learnings to future campaigns.
- Personally drive work from strategy through execution, handling both high‑level planning and detailed issue resolution.
- Lead through influence, building trust and alignment across teams with differing priorities.
- Operate comfortably in ambiguity, bringing structure and momentum to fast‑moving initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, brand marketing, consumer marketing, or related roles within a high‑growth consumer, DTC, or digitally native business.
- Proven track record of personally leading large, cross‑channel consumer campaigns from strategy through launch, with clear examples of impact.
- Experience orchestrating campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels, with fluency to connect work while respecting channel owners’ expertise.
- Strong consumer and creative judgment; ability to amplify a creative concept across channels.
- Experience partnering closely with Brand/Creative, Product Marketing, Growth/Performance Marketing, Social, Communications/PR, and Lifecycle/CRM teams.
- Exceptional cross‑functional leadership—creating alignment, making decisions, resolving ambiguity, and holding teams accountable without direct reporting lines.
- Strong operational instincts and attention to detail, ensuring both great ideas and flawless execution.
- Background in a lean, fast‑moving organization where senior leaders set direction and execute.
- Low ego and high ownership; willingness to handle any part of getting a campaign to market.
