About the role
Tinuiti is seeking an Insights Director to lead strategic analytics and enterprise measurement. This role requires deep expertise in CPG dynamics, modern measurement techniques, and strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of holistic, enterprise-level measurement frameworks that capture total business impact.
- Design and oversee multi-year learning agendas and sophisticated testing roadmaps (incrementality, geo-testing, etc.) aligned with long-term C-suite objectives.
- Navigate the transition to modern measurement (MMM, unified measurement, clean rooms) and provide guidance on privacy-safe data strategies.
- Leverage deep knowledge of CPG dynamics including retail media networks, household penetration, and market share data to contextualize performance against industry benchmarks.
- Build and maintain deep-seated relationships with senior client stakeholders (VP and C-level).
- Identify opportunities where advanced analytics can solve business problems, effectively scoping and selling in high-value projects that drive incremental agency revenue.
- Act as the guardian of the analytical relationship, proactively identifying potential friction points and ensuring our insights are indispensable to the client's success.
- Serve as the strategic connection between Planning, Investment, and Strategy teams, ensuring that data-driven insights are woven into the fabric of every media plan.
- Provide "dotted-line" mentorship to junior analysts, elevating their ability to tell stories with data and think more strategically.
- Partner with BI and Data Engineering leads to ensure the data infrastructure supports the strategic vision without needing to manage the underlying code or ETL processes yourself.
- Distill highly complex statistical concepts into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. Develop and publish internal and external POVs on emerging trends.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or management consulting, with at least 4 years in a high-level client-facing leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing measurement frameworks for global brands, with a focus on long-term brand health and enterprise-level ROI.
- Deep familiarity with the application and interpretation of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Incrementality testing.
- Prior experience in the CPG/Retail sector, including familiarity with IRI/Nielsen data and the nuances of the path-to-purchase in a fragmented retail landscape.
- Exceptional communication skills; ability to command a room and influence senior decision-makers through clarity, confidence, and commercial acumen.
- Technical literacy (strategic level): While you are not expected to build dashboards or write SQL daily, you must have the technical fluency to collaborate with engineers and data scientists.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Business) or equivalent experience; MBA or Master’s in a related field is a plus.
