About the role
The Influencer Team at Ovative Group oversees, develops, and implements influencer strategy alongside client teams to create holistic, goal-driven approaches. As Director of Influencer, you will drive influencer capabilities from strategy development to execution, forming partnerships with influencers to promote brand exposure, build awareness, and introduce new customers. This role focuses on building brand love through creator efforts while aligning strategy and measuring performance against KPIs in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
Responsibilities
- Own Ovative’s influencer channel vision and long-term roadmap for clients, defining influencer’s role within full-funnel, omnichannel media strategies.
- Establish strategic frameworks, playbooks, and best practices for influencer planning, casting, content development, and performance measurement.
- Ensure influencer strategies are grounded in Ovative’s Enterprise Marketing Return (EMR) approach and tied directly to business outcomes.
- Serve as a senior strategic partner to client leadership, shaping how influencer marketing drives brand growth, customer acquisition, and long-term value.
- Lead influencer strategy for Ovative’s most complex and high-impact client engagements.
- Translate performance data and insights into clear executive-level storytelling and recommendations.
- Define influencer measurement standards, KPIs, and testing frameworks in partnership with measurement and analytics teams.
- Advance a test-and-learn culture, identifying innovation opportunities across platforms, creator types, and partnership models.
- Stay ahead of influencer trends, platform changes, and partnership opportunities, informing Ovative’s point of view and client recommendations.
- Act as Ovative’s senior influencer subject matter expert in new business pitches, capability marketing, and external thought leadership.
- Partner with growth and client teams to shape influencer positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
- Contribute to building and scaling the influencer team, including org design, role definition, and hiring strategy.
- Contribute to industry POVs, case studies, and internal education that elevate Ovative’s influencer credibility.
- Coach and develop team members into future leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and excellence.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the influencer ecosystem—social media channels, influencers, content, and creators.
- 10+ years in an Influencer Marketing role developing and executing strategy and campaigns.
- 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring teams, fostering growth and excellence.
- Experience leading change and building new capabilities, including evolving processes, standards, and team workflows in response to platform and business shifts.
- Proven, hands-on experience personally executing influencer campaigns, rather than exclusively overseeing work through agencies or vendors.
- Strong understanding of how influencer marketing connects to and enhances paid media performance, with experience integrating creators into paid social, affiliate, and commerce-driven strategies to maximize full-funnel impact.
- Proven ability to define, analyze, and interpret influencer performance metrics across the full funnel, and to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and executive-ready storytelling.
- Working knowledge of influencer, social, and platform tools (e.g., creator discovery, campaign management, social listening, and reporting platforms) that enhance team workflows, speed, and consistency.
