Purpose & Scope

The Director of Infection Prevention (IP) is responsible for leading, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of infection prevention and control within VHC Health. The individual in this position is responsible for the health and safety of patients, staff, providers, contractors and visitors regarding the identification and / or prevention of nosocomial infections and exposure to communicable diseases, through utilization of OSHA standards and CDC guidelines. This role involves developing policies, educating staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards to minimize the risk of infection. The Director will work collaboratively with various departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in infection control practices. The Director will manage staff within the IP Department.

This role requires a strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also required. The Director must have the ability to lead and motivate a team and proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies for infection prevention and control

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field is required.
  • Master's in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical School or an Accredited Physician Assistant program preferred.
  • 5 years Infection Prevention required;
  • 3 years of management experience required;
  • 2 years Aseptic Technique preferred;
  • 2 Years Data Analytics Preferred.

Pay

The compensation offered for this position—whether expressed as an annual salary or hourly rate—is determined based on a variety of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors. The posted hiring range reflects the range VHC Health, in good faith, believes is appropriate for this role at the time of posting. No portion of compensation is considered earned until it is vested and determined in accordance with the terms of applicable policies and benefit plans. Schedule

VHC Health operates on a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
