Director, Imaging Services – Ambulatory

About the role

The Ambulatory Imaging Services Director provides administrative oversight for the Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Service Line, working in partnership with modality leaders and health system business unit leaders. The Director serves as the primary point of contact for the ambulatory imaging leadership team and is responsible for ensuring that established service-level standards are met. In collaboration with Radiology leadership, the Director supports and executes strategic initiatives under the overall direction of the health system executive team.

Responsibilities

• Designs and oversees administrative operations across multiple clinical professional services
• Oversees the development and implementation of new policies and programs
• Provides oversight of regulatory compliance, quality, and safety initiatives
• Reviews recommendations for new programs
• Led a team of four Site Managers as direct reports and indirectly oversees 15 Supervisors across the ambulatory imaging operation

Requirements

Significant management experience in a complex health care organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, health administration or clinical degree and / or equivalent experience / training
• Thorough knowledge of health care delivery models, business and strategic planning, financial management, and organizational development
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with medical center leaders and external agencies
• Ability to establish and utilize metrics to support operational and process improvement
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and influence others
• Ability to build and maintain a climate of trust and collaboration
