Director Human Resources

Overview

A leading, large-scale hospitality organization is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of HR strategy and operations for a high-volume, service-driven environment. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive employee engagement, talent acquisition, and organizational performance across a workforce of 500+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Human Resources functions including recruiting, employee relations, training & development, and compliance
• Partner with leadership to build and sustain a high-performance, service-focused culture
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding to ensure attraction and retention of top talent
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention strategies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Manage performance management processes and leadership development efforts
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems
• Lead and develop the HR team while managing departmental budget and workforce planning

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of HR leadership experience in a large, employee-intensive environment (500+ employees)
• Prior experience in hospitality, hotel, or resort operations required
• Strong background in employee relations, engagement, and culture development
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leadership and influence decision-making
• Solid understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM) preferred
