Director Human Resources
About the role
This role will be partnering with the leaders of the commercial side of our business (sales, marketing etc..) to drive growth through alignment of “people programs” to business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand how our business operates.
- Lead talent planning with an eye toward improved succession readiness.
- Drive and communicate change to ensure our people understand the what, and more importantly, the why behind decisions made and direction taken.
- Ensure compensation programs are driving the right behaviors to drive profitable growth.
- Create long-term visions for functions and create necessary organization plans to achieve goals.
- Investigate issues, get to the root cause, and drive solutions, not be the judge and jury.
- Develop leaders to create a great work environment and deliver results.
- Develop the next generation of talent.
- Lead annual culture survey process for areas of responsibility.
- Study results, listen to employees, and take the right actions based on feedback.
- Lead with facts and data, not emotion.
- Pick battles to ensure we do the “right” thing while keeping relationships intact.
Requirements
You are intellectually curious, love asking questions, and thrive in ambiguity. You have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, a keen ability to get past symptoms to understand root cause, and the ability to simplify the complex. Passionate about leading change, you have the experience and wisdom typically coming with a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of HR work.
