Director, HR Operations & Benefits

For our client, we are seeking a Director, HR Operations & Benefits to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will oversee core HR operations with a strong focus on benefits administration, HR systems, and process excellence across a global workforce. The role partners closely with Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll support, compliance, and an efficient employee experience. It also includes guiding a team, improving operational workflows, and evaluating technology-enabled solutions that enhance HR effectiveness. Location: Rohnert Park, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $200,000 – $280,000 annually Responsibilities Direct and mentor a team, promoting a culture of improvement and accountability. Oversee maintenance and optimization of HRIS to support global HR operations. Lead strategy and administration for global benefits programs, including vendor relations and renewals. Ensure compliance with varied employment regulations and maintain company handbooks. Manage employee immigration workflows and international relocation logistics. Collaborate with Finance and Legal on payroll processing and audit preparations. Qualifications Advanced proficiency with HRIS configuration and analytics; experience with ADP preferred. Expertise in global benefits, leave management, and immigration processes. Proven success in managing and scaling HR processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
