Director, HR Business Partner Life Sciences and Medical (LS&M)
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Director, HR Business Partner for the Life Sciences & Medical division to serve as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff, providing expert advice and guidance on all HR matters as required.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with general management and staff to drive our high-performance culture and build the overall competencies and effectiveness of the organization
Become a trusted partner with divisional staff to develop the overall organization and drive results
Propose HR strategies aligned with business goals
Retention and recruitment of talent
Identify potential retention risks and develop strategies to mitigate
Align pay and benefits with divisional goals and performance
Partner with recruiting center of excellence to recruit talent as needed
Talent management (organizational development, succession planning and talent development)
Perform Talent Assessments and Reviews as a basis for continual organizational improvement and succession planning
Identify training needs for teams and individuals to support the succession plan and ensure future leadership continuity
Work closely with management and employees to maintain and/or improve work relationships, promote engagement, build morale and increase productivity and retention
Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances through a systematic approach, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while adapting to local laws and culture
Monitoring and reporting of meaningful workforce metrics
Performance ratings, compensation, turnover, years of service, demographics, etc.
Governance and compliance
Insure adoption of corporate HR policies and programs
Partner with legal and compliance to address issues
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an international strategic HR business partner role
Strong desire to partner with the business and drive results collaboratively
Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and regulations
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex business challenges and provide innovative HR solutions
Demonstrated ability to navigate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
