About the Role

The Director of Marketing for HEMGENIX is responsible for leading the development, advancement, and execution of the brand strategy and plan in the US, with full P&L responsibility. This role focuses on achieving annual operating objectives, including net sales, patient market share goals, patients treated, and treatment site activation. The Director ensures alignment of functional area strategies with the overall brand and therapeutic franchise strategy, collaborating with Sales, Healthcare Systems, Business Operations, and Medical Affairs.

The role involves identifying and analyzing gaps in the HEMGENIX treatment journey and implementing action plans to address them. The Director liaises with key cross-functional stakeholders to support customer needs and works independently with minimal guidance from the Executive Director while influencing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develops marketing strategies, plans, and activities for HEMGENIX, aligning resources and initiatives to achieve product objectives.
  • Applies innovative and competitive strategies to marketing plans and ensures compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Leads the development, presentation, implementation, and measurement of the annual marketing strategic plan for HEMGENIX.
  • Prioritizes and manages work to focus resources on key initiatives.
  • Partners with Medical Affairs, Sales, Healthcare Systems, and Business Operations to align organizational plans with the brand plan.
  • Liaises with Payer Channel Marketing and the Market Access Accounts team to develop and advance managed care contracting, access, and pull-through strategies.
  • Ensures patients have open and viable access to HEMGENIX.
  • Supports the development of patient and HCP strategies through insights from market research and advisory boards.
  • Enhances patient and HCP segmentation, profiles, and communications plans to drive desired behaviors.
  • Develops and manages partnerships with Patient Advocacy Groups to support patient education.
  • Defines and drives the Hemophilia B portfolio strategy in collaboration with the Coagulation franchise.
  • Builds and leverages relationships with key external customers, including HCP thought leaders and professional societies.
  • Develops and manages effective agency relationships to support key initiatives.
  • Collaborates with HEMGENIX SPMs to ensure alignment with brand objectives and empower team accountability.
  • Identifies and addresses clinical and operational barriers to ensure brand success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, life sciences, or healthcare discipline; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, with 6-8 years of commercial marketing experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or relevant industry, including leading new product launches.
  • Institutional expertise and/or Buy & Bill experience are beneficial.
