General Description

As the Head of Patient Recruitment and Retention, Americas within Global Clinical Operations (GCO), you will hold a leadership role responsible for designing and executing strategies to enroll and retain patients in BeOne clinical trials. This role works with study teams to ensure trials meet enrollment and long-term follow-up milestones, implements and manages recruitment vendor partnerships, and liaises with patient advocacy organizations to implement patient-focused approaches.

Essential Functions Of The Job

  • Global Recruitment Strategy:
    • Develop and lead a comprehensive, regionally-aligned patient recruitment and retention strategy designed to support portfolio priorities
    • Ensure strategies are tailored to indication, geography, and patient population complexity
    • Establish forecasting models to predict enrollment timelines and risks
    • Integrate recruitment planning early into study design and feasibility processes
  • Patient Focused Trial Design:
    • Partner with Clinical, Medical, and Protocol Development teams to embed patient-centric principles into study design
    • Identify and address patient burden factors that impact participation and retention
    • Incorporate patient insights, advocacy input, and real-world evidence into recruitment strategies
    • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical trial participation
  • Recruitment And Retention Execution:
    • Oversee execution of multi-channel recruitment strategies (digital, site-based, community outreach, partnerships)
    • Lead development of retention programs to minimize screen failures and dropout rates
    • Ensure deployment of patient support services (e.g., travel, concierge, education tools)
    • Drive continuous monitoring and optimization of recruitment performance
  • External Partnerships And Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and manage recruitment vendors, digital platforms, and patient engagement partners
    • Evaluate emerging trends including decentralized trials, digital engagement tools, and AI-driven recruitment
    • Implement data-driven decision-making using recruitment analytics, digital campaign metrics, and site performance data
    • Leverage real-world data, epidemiology, and predictive analytics to optimize patient targeting
    • Lead sourcing and adoption of innovative patient recruitment technologies and solutions
  • Continuous Improvement And Innovation:
    • Implement data-driven decision-making using recruitment analytics, digital campaign metrics, and site performance data
    • Leverage real-world data, epidemiology, and predictive analytics to optimize patient targeting
    • Evaluate emerging trends including decentralized trials, digital engagement tools, and AI-driven recruitment
    • Drive innovation pilots and scale successful approaches
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Drive cross-functional governance to support site selection, activation, and enrollment execution
    • Line Manage - Patient Recruitment and Retention team members
  • Computer Skills:
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • CTMS applications
    • EDC applications
    • Analytic tools (e.g. Citeline, Trialtrove, etc.) and additional feasibility software

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success leading enrollment strategies across various oncology therapeutic areas
  • Established relationships with patient advocacy organizations and recruitment vendors
  • Validated experience in data analysis, data interpretation to drive informed decision making
  • Shown experience or willingness to learn how developing study delivery strategies and tactical/operational plans aligned to commercial and regulatory objectives
  • Clinical trial patient and investigator recruitment experience
  • Validated experience in project and budget management
  • Confirmed experience working with Global teams

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher in a scientific, medical or healthcare discipline with minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Feasibility, Clinical Trial Management, Personnel Management and Operations Management

Pay

Salary Range: $171,900.00 - $231,900.00 annually
