Director, Head of Data Partnerships
Role Overview
Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Head of Data Partnerships to lead data vendor relationships and help execute Cboe’s data distribution strategy.
Responsibilities
Own Cboe’s portfolio of data vendor and distribution partners, including aggregators, redistributors, index providers, and data platforms
Assess partner business models, reach, and client fit to identify growth opportunities
Negotiate contracts, licensing terms, and redistribution agreements with internal stakeholders
Monitor industry trends across the financial data and distribution landscape
Define Cboe’s data distribution strategy across channels, platforms, and delivery models
Lead partnerships with cloud providers such as Snowflake, AWS, and Google Cloud
Own the commercial strategy for API-based distribution with technology partners
Evaluate emerging channels such as marketplaces, cloud-to-cloud delivery, and embedded integrations
Align technical requirements, SLAs, and delivery standards with engineering teams
Identify and pursue new partnerships that expand reach and monetization of Cboe data
Identify 3rd parties that could have unique data that we could partner with for creation of new combined datasets or for leveraging Cboe’s data distribution capabilities (and own the commercial aspect of that relationship)
Support Data Vantage’s interests and opportunities with Cboe’s partnerships for derivatives and prediction market trading
Build and manage a partnership pipeline aligned to distribution and revenue goals
Structure go-to-market agreements, including revenue share and co-marketing arrangements
Partner with Sales and Client Experience to drive acquisition, retention, and upsell
Education on product capabilities and capture product feedback
Represent Cboe at industry events and partner forums as a data distribution expert
Collaborate with Product teams to align distribution capabilities with the roadmap and launches
Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure agreements meet contractual and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Finance to model economics and track distribution performance
Coordinate with technology teams to support scalable cloud and API delivery
Requirements
10+ years of experience in data partnerships, market data distribution, business development, or data product commercialization within financial services, fintech, or a data platform business
Proven success managing and growing data vendor or distribution partnerships, with strong negotiation, contract management, and commercial skills
Deep knowledge of the financial data ecosystem, including redistributors, aggregators, cloud marketplaces, and API-based delivery models
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior external partners and internal product, legal, finance, and technology teams
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
Experience in financial services, fintech, or a data platform business
Experience in data partnerships, market data distribution, business development, or data product commercialization
Skills

Ability to work effectively across senior external partners and internal product, legal, finance, and technology teams

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $196,350-$288,750, with actual compensation determined by job-related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.
Schedule
This role follows a four day in office work model.
