Director, GTM Field Effectiveness
About the role
The Director of GTM Field Effectiveness leads a team responsible for building and scaling go-to-market capability across various segments including sales, customer success, services, and partners. This role combines leadership and hands-on involvement, requiring a blend of strategic vision and practical execution.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and develop a team of GTM Field Effectiveness Managers covering sales, customer success, professional services, and partner channels.
- Set priorities, operate a cadence, and maintain high standards for field-facing programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enablement needs across field leadership teams, translating go-to-market strategy into field execution, and driving adoption of programs.
- Own field communications, training programming, and content for each GTM segment, representing field-level needs in learning program design.
- Partner with sales, customer success, and professional services leadership to align on capability gaps, prioritize accordingly, and represent the GTM enablement function in executive conversations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of go-to-market experience with a foundation in sales or customer success.
- 3+ years of enablement leadership with direct management experience.
- A demonstrated track record of building go-to-market methodology, not just delivering training.
- A genuine point of view on how AI tools are changing the way go-to-market teams work and experience putting that point of view into practice.
- A strong program architecture skills: designing a framework, building the content, operationalizing the rollout, and measuring the impact.
- Clear, executive-level communication skills and the ability to influence without authority across complex, matrixed organizations.
- A data-literate approach, using performance metrics to make prioritization decisions rather than simply reporting activity.
