Director, Growth Strategy

About the role
To support this growth, we’re looking for a Director to join our Channel Management Team to own the P&L of one of our largest retail partnerships. You will manage growth initiatives, profitability initiatives, and account maintenance in a high-visibility position. This role requires travel to retail partner sites and collaboration with cross-functional teams at the retailer and internally (Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Product, Marketing, and Finance/Accounting), as well as our parent company, Allstate.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Define strategies and actions to deliver performance promises.
- Initiative Planning, Selling into Stakeholders, Implementation, and Monitoring: Build selling stories and project manage joint-growth and profitability initiatives to completion with retail partner and internal stakeholders. Ensure objectives remain on track.
- Customer Experience: Understand the retail partner’s path to purchase and post-purchase experience (including claim filing and service), then partner with Customer Experience and other teams to deliver solutions.
- Retail Execution and Channel Marketing: Partner with Retail Execution and Merchandising to increase in-store customer and associate awareness. Collaborate with the retail partner’s dotcom teams to boost online sales.
- Account Support: Provide support on reporting, content development, event planning, and project management.
- Product and Service Innovations: Gain a deep understanding of our business and contribute your own ideas.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct analysis and tracking of the dynamic partner environment to maintain our competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in management consulting, operations management, or business development/account management, especially with retailers, OEMs/manufacturers, or other B2B businesses.
- Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience creating presentations to tell a compelling story.
- Self-starter who can independently drive projects and initiatives forward, including problem-solving and decision-making.
- Comfortable with shifting priorities and ambiguity.
- Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint; SQL and Tableau experience is a plus.

Pay
Estimated base compensation for this role in the San Francisco Bay Area, California: $170K - $210K.
