Director, Gas Asset Performance

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise owner for the performance of Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operating facilities.
• Maximize asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and lifecycle value by partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology partners.
• Provide strategic technical leadership, drive continuous improvement, establish enterprise standards, and ensure Divert's gas assets consistently achieve best-in-class performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or comparable process facilities.
• Demonstrated success improving operational performance across multiple facilities.
• Experience influencing cross-functional organizations without direct authority.
• Experience managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.
• Strong understanding of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and business acumen with the ability to translate technical issues into operational and capital priorities.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, RNG production, and pipeline injection.
• Experience developing enterprise standards across multiple operating facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead performance improvement initiatives that deliver measurable gains in uptime, methane recovery, operating cost, or equipment life.
• Experience working in a high-growth organization requiring strong collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Capital Projects.
