About the role

The Fund/Client Accounting Manager role is located in Lake Mary, FL. This role involves:

  • Directing a Fund Accounting area consisting of multiple teams responsible for accounting services including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
  • Managing financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring teams operate effectively to meet goals and objectives.
  • Setting guidelines for determining net asset value (NAV) across various fund sectors and promoting consistency across product areas.
  • Overseeing client relationship management, ensuring service levels meet client needs and resolving client issues.
  • Participating in sales efforts including RFP and RFI preparation and presentations.
  • Providing oversight and guidance on financial statement disclosures and resolving complex escalated issues.
  • Leading analysis of GAAP and/or IFRS rules to assess regulatory impacts and develop compliance policies.
  • Setting guidelines and priorities for drafting financial reports and communicating complex accounting details to clients.
  • Recruiting, directing, motivating, and developing staff to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Managing relationships with senior auditors and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and fund performance depiction.
  • Contributing to achieving team objectives by overseeing multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams through subordinate managers.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7-10 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management.
  • Experience in fund accounting and client relationship management.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Proven people leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop, and motivate teams.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management.
  • Experience in fund accounting and client relationship management.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Proven people leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop, and motivate teams.
