Director, Field Marketing - Americas
About the role
New Relic is seeking a Director for the Americas Marketing team. This role reports to the VP Global Field Marketing. As leader of Field Marketing for Americas, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our regional marketing strategy. Your leadership will drive the expansion of New Relic’s presence in the dynamic and rapidly evolving Americas observability software market.
We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in driving pipeline and demand generation across both owned field events and third-party conferences, executive engagement programs, partner marketing, customer marketing, and account-based marketing. You’ll have a passion for technology and a commitment to exceeding goals, surpassing industry standards, and running a best-in-class regional marketing organization.
You have rich experience in managing field marketing teams in B2B enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) and account-based marketing (ABM) with solution-led selling, as well as a good understanding of Salesforce CRM and Marketo Marketing Automation platforms.
Responsibilities
- Be the center of excellence for a team of geographically dispersed field marketing managers to ensure the team receives professional development, skill-based training, and enablement of the GTM plan to be a best-in-class organization.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of New Relic's product, market position, personas, competition, and market trends to adapt and optimize the Americas marketing plan.
- Partner closely with regional sales leadership, sales operations, adjacent sales development (SDR), product marketing, digital marketing, and brand teams to curate the region's plans on a quarterly basis and collaborate on global initiatives with EMEA and APJ marketing counterparts.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs to meet goals, regularly present in regional meetings, and oversee end-to-end program management.
- Utilize the US-based marketing team and local partners to create demand and generate pipeline across various channels. Optimize the field channel mix to respond to market changes, evaluate program success for future planning, and manage budgets effectively.
- Act as the main point of marketing contact and enablement for the Americas sales team, ensuring effective communication of marketing plans, goals, metrics, and results. Align strategically with local sales leaders to achieve lead and pipeline targets per segment and geography.
- Proactively collaborate with various marketing teams to plan and execute marketing tactics, including industry tradeshows, executive conferences, New Relic-owned events, partner events, regional demand generation, ABM programs, and customer-focused content.
- Apply a growth mindset to execute a multi-touch, multi-channel go-to-market strategy, surpassing both goals and industry standards.
- Engage with systems to collect, analyze, and share data relative to your programs for pipeline planning.
Requirements
- In-depth experience working across multiple sales teams in the Americas.
- Strong experience with field marketing, demand generation, and operations/analytics within B2B Enterprise SaaS.
- Demonstrated second-line leadership experience and experience successfully navigating dotted-line relationships.
- Proven experience partnering directly with executive sales leadership.
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and Marketo (Marketing Automation) platforms is a must.
- Experience creating and running account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns and executive engagement programs for enterprise and strategic segments is essential.
- Ability to travel across the region.

Pay
Estimated Base Pay Range: $193,000—$241,000 USD. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
