Director, Family Office
About the role
The Director, Family Office Services at Anchin will serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, trusts, and closely held businesses. This role will be responsible for managing complex client relationships, overseeing the delivery of family office services, and leading multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated solutions across accounting, tax, reporting, wealth transfer, and business management matters. The Director will play a key role in driving client service excellence, developing talent, and contributing to the growth of the Family Office Services practice at Anchin.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of family office clients.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' financial objectives, family dynamics, business interests, and long-term legacy goals.
- Provide strategic guidance on complex financial, operational, and family office matters.
- Collaborate with external advisors, including attorneys, investment advisors, trustees, and bankers.
- Oversee family office accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, and bill payment processes.
- Review consolidated financial statements and reporting packages for family office entities, trusts, partnerships, and investment structures.
- Maintain compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support recruiting and retention efforts within the practice.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships.
- Participate in business development activities, networking events, and client presentations.
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives for the Family Office Services practice.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA, EA or Law License required.
- Experience: 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting, advisory, or family office services.
- Demonstrated success serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including GAAP, with deep experience supporting partnership structures and fund management companies.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage Intacct, and other Family Office-centric accounting and financial management software.
- Strong project management, client engagement management, leadership, and client service skills.
- Tax experience or exposure preferred.
- Proven business development experience with a demonstrated track record of originating and growing client relationships.
- Established professional network within the New York market, including relationships with attorneys, private bankers, wealth advisors, investment professionals, family office leaders, and other centers of influence.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to cultivate trusted advisor relationships, develop strategic partnerships, and represent Anchin within the Dallas business community.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Pay
Competitive annual salary in the range of $200,000 to $350,000+ based on the individual’s experience level.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule.
