Director, Enterprise IT Strategy and Planning, Service Area 4
About the Role
Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the execution of the Trinity Health enterprise integrated information system planning function, which supports IT product strategy, vision, and roadmaps that align with the architecture and technology direction of the business unit, consistent with enterprise priorities.
Develops new service strategies and models to meet the information technology needs to support business and clinical operations. Designs and implements transition plans for IT consolidation for mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture activities. Serves as the executive-level escalation point to resolve stakeholder concerns, out-of-scope customization, and issues that arise between products and platforms.
Oversees and sets guidelines for TIS customer research to enable the product vision. Leads collaboration with the product team to deliver and sustain the end-to-end customer experience. Supports completing and resolving necessary risk assessments for Enterprise Information Security.
Responsibilities
- Provides advice, guidance, and leadership to RHM and Market Leaders in developing strategies and achieving performance goals.
- Enables collaboration across and within SASS area, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations.
- Standardizes and optimizes processes, methodologies, and establishes a national community of practice.
- Centralizes vendor/contract labor strategy and optimizes spend.
- Collaborates in system-wide strategy development and deployment of functional area priorities and initiatives.
- Supports state and regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities.
- Accountable for the selection, evaluation, and overall success of functional leadership teams within the region and market.
- Serves as an organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies and governance over financials and staffing.
- Acts as a communication liaison between operational leaders and functional leaders.
- Oversees operational delivery, reporting, and metrics measuring value delivery.
- Responsible for system redesign and service improvements for the colleague experience.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in related areas such as Information Systems, Managed Care, Physician Practice Management, or acute healthcare, with at least five years of experience at the leadership level, responsible for leading an IT discipline in a complex, large environment.
- Preference given to individuals with experience defining and implementing information systems in a multi-location, multidisciplinary environment, generally gained by having held similar positions within a major hospital, managed health, or health insurance organization.
- A general understanding of laws, regulations, and quality assurance standards that impact healthcare.
