Director, Enterprise Technology Planning and Operations
Essential Functions
- Supervision & Team Leadership: Supervises assigned staff, including Workday Business Analysts, integration specialists, and Banner support staff. Assigns and reviews work, provides guidance and coaching, and conducts performance evaluations.
- Workday Operations & Release Management: Manages the Workday release lifecycle, coordinates system testing with functional departments, and ensures the operational continuity of Workday services.
- Enterprise Application Oversight: Leads the technical management and ongoing support of enterprise applications, including Workday, Banner, and related third-party systems. Oversees integrations, tenant management, system maintenance, and the refresh schedule for Workday Sandbox and Sandbox Preview tenants.
- Technical Architecture & Planning: Provides technical guidance on IT application architecture and long-term enterprise application strategy, including future-state analysis and system planning.
- Campus Collaboration: Collaborates with campus departments and stakeholders to identify system needs, implement new features, and ensure enterprise applications effectively support institutional operations.
- Project & Vendor Management: Leads enterprise application implementation projects, manages vendor relationships for enterprise systems, and oversees the technical aspects of campus software implementations.
Level Of Education Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
Required Work Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting enterprise applications (such as Workday or other ERP systems).
Demonstrated experience with system configuration, integrations, and project leadership.
Progressive supervisory experience and a proven track record of effective team collaboration.
Preferred
10+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, including leading complex technical projects and managing high-performing teams.
Deep Workday technical knowledge and hands-on administrative experience.
