What You'll Do:
- Own and oversee the end-to-end Enterprise compliance program (corporate compliance and benefit plan programs), including policy governance, monitoring plans, testing, and documentation.
- Maintain a robust compliance monitoring and testing program for enterprise policies and benefit plan offerings, reviewing policies and procedures regularly to identify risks and ensure effective controls.
- Identify and assess compliance risks associated with business activities, collaborating with the Director of Enterprise Risk to prioritize risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain effective training and culture of compliance for enterprise functions to enhance awareness and understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures for the workforce.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and functional areas to integrate compliance into business processes.
- Evaluate the compliance policies and procedures of Vendors and other service providers, maintaining a regular review process to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Support the Managing Director of ARC during investigations of potential policy violations and conflicts of interest, implementing corrective actions to prevent future compliance issues.
- Maintain reporting of incident management and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on internal committees and project workgroups requiring compliance expertise.
- Advise business on compliant communications, collateral, and standards in a manner that aligns with GuideStone’s values and its faith-based commitment to Members and Ministry Partners.
Supervisory Responsibilities And/or Relationships:
- Responsible for full scope of supervision including reviewing performance of assigned staff.
- Accountable for developing strong working relationships with peers and analysts within Administration, Risk, and Compliance division.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive compliance experience in the employee benefits and/or financial services industry, including leadership of compliance programs and teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, human resources, or a related field; advanced degree, J.D., or relevant certifications (CCEP, CRMP) preferred.
- Expertise in industry-relevant regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, federal and state employee benefit regulations, Texas employment law) with proven ability to interpret, operationalize, and evidence compliance.
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Frontline advisory capability for new products, marketing content, and contracts.
- Values-based/faith-aligned ethics orientation, with experience integrating faith-based policies into compliance controls and training.
- People leadership and change management—hiring, developing, and directing teams; prioritizing work across multiple initiatives; driving regulatory change programs to completion.
- Training and culture building—designing and delivering targeted compliance education and reinforcing a strong control environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with disciplined documentation, metrics/KRIs, and timeline execution under tight regulatory deadlines.
- Proficient skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications.
- Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
