Director, Energy Cash Management Sales
About the role
As an Energy Treasury Management Officer with RBC, you will help grow a new business within an established top-tier financial institution by cultivating new cash management relationships across our well-established Energy Capital Markets and Corporate Banking teams. You will leverage your deep treasury product knowledge to develop and execute an industry-focused sales strategy while developing partnerships with Client Relationship Managers, Investment Bankers, Account Management, Product, and Operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Persuasively articulate RBC’s US Cash Management value proposition both internally and externally.
- Grow RBC’s capital markets client base and drive revenue by successfully prospecting and sourcing new cash management opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Facilitate strategic dialogue focusing on key client-centric topics, deliver industry benchmarking insight, and partner cross-functionally to contribute to the design of tailored end-to-end cash management solutions.
- Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers, Account Management, and Product to bring forth client insights that will drive solution development and enhancement.
- Raise new solution ideas while partnering with internal product stakeholders to represent the client perspective in the development and evolution of products and solutions.
- Deliver thought leadership to the market, prospects, and clients on working capital solutions at client roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, and professional media platforms.
- Devise and execute a plan to exceed sales goals.
- Accountable for the development of a sales pipeline of both new and cross-sell opportunities and appropriately managing those opportunities through to decision.
Position can be based in New York, Houston, or Dallas.
Requirements
- 5+ years of cash management, sales, and relationship management experience.
- Success developing new business with a focus on prospecting utilizing strong selling and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Treasury Service products, credit and risk process, overdraft management discipline, and pricing philosophy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor.
- Aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation skills with internal and external clients.
- Experience covering the Energy sector preferred.

Pay
The good-faith expected salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000, depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range does not include other elements of total compensation, such as a discretionary bonus and benefits.
Schedule
Full-time position with 40 work hours per week.
