Job Summary

GBU Financial Life is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Director of Distribution Growth & Advisor Engagement to lead initiatives that expand distribution capacity, accelerate advisor productivity, strengthen producer engagement, and drive sustainable revenue growth across our national distribution network. This role serves as a strategic advisor to the Chief Sales & Distribution Officer and is responsible for creating the activity, engagement, and sales momentum necessary to expand GBU's distribution footprint and support long-term growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advisor Recruitment & Activation
    • Develop and execute strategic advisor recruitment initiatives.
    • Increase contracted-to-writing conversion rates.
    • Build onboarding programs that accelerate productivity.
    • Support advisor retention and first-year success.
  • Advisor Engagement, Thought Leadership & Education
    • Lead webinar, virtual event, and advisor engagement strategy.
    • Cook up industry experts, guest speakers, and educational content.
    • Support advisor conferences, recognition programs, and partner events.
    • Measure engagement effectiveness and ROI.
    • Lead advisorfacing thought leadership and educational initiatives.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Create advisorfacing sales campaigns and growth initiatives.
    • Develop and execute advisorfacing sales enablement strategies.
    • Develop presentations, sales concepts, and field communications.
    • Support product launches and sales growth initiatives.
    • Cook up presentations, sales concepts, and field communications.
  • Distribution Partner Development
    • Strengthen relationships with IMOs, FMOs, agencies, and broker-dealers.
    • Identify opportunities to increase advisor participation and production.
    • Support strategic growth initiatives with distribution partners.
  • Performance Analytics
    • Establish KPI dashboards and executive reporting.
    • Analyze advisor recruitment, activation, and productivity metrics.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends, advisor needs, competitive activity, and market opportunities.
    • Identify growth initiatives and inform business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services distribution, sales enablement, advisor engagement, business development, or related leadership roles.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • 12+ years of insurance, annuity, wealth management, or advisor distribution experience.
  • Experience with IMOs, FMOs, broker-dealers, and advisor engagement platforms.
  • Prior leadership of advisor growth, distribution development, or sales enablement programs.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Desire to learn, receive feedback, and develop skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
