Director Digital Experience (Back-End) - Remote
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Director Digital Experience (Back-End) - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will guide the strategy and execution of back-end digital experience capabilities that enable secure, reliable data exchange across healthcare systems. The leader will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to modernize legacy environments, strengthen interoperability, and establish standards that support scalable API services. The position is highly cross-functional, with a strong focus on turning complex business and technical requirements into practical roadmaps that improve operational performance and data-sharing outcomes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise back-end digital experience and API strategy
- Partner with stakeholders to create secure, reliable data-sharing capabilities
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable plans for interoperability initiatives
- Establish governance and standards for API and interoperability services
- Guide modernization from legacy systems to API-driven platforms
- Lead a high-performing team to align cross-functional efforts toward shared goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience in operations and/or digital experience
- 5 years of management experience leading teams
- Strategic vision with the ability to define and execute operational roadmaps and governance
- Strong knowledge of API, cloud, and data-sharing concepts relevant to healthcare
- Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and NCPDP

Pay
$124,000 – $211,000 annually
