About the role

The Director, Defined Contribution Senior Consultant is responsible for business development and overall service delivery of data consulting services to clients. The Senior Data Consultant will communicate directly with clients, participate in project status meetings, and work with the Consultant and the internal Fidelity team to identify and review client data and custom administration needs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with clients and participate in project status meetings
  • Work with the Consultant and the internal Fidelity team to identify and review client data and custom administration needs
  • Propose solutions to meet client needs
  • Manage and expand client relationships
  • Create and deliver value-add proposals up to and including client contract sign-off and approval
  • Ensure project team members deliver realistic project plans including scope, duration, and effort
  • Oversight the program to ensure it tracks to the strategy, plan, and budget
  • Identify risk areas and lead the team to appropriate solutions when obstacles are encountered
  • Identify, define, obtain, digest, and apply client-specific benefit plan knowledge, inclusive of administrative procedures, systems configuration, and data utilization

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in a Defined Contribution benefit consulting, client management, or an administration team manager role
  • 3 years of business development experience
  • 5 years focused on program/project management
  • Understanding of Defined Contribution plan benefits and record keeping administration
  • Defined Benefit, Stock Plan, Health Savings Account, Health and Welfare administration, payroll/HRIS systems experience (plus)

  • Excel at leading the initial new business development process from prospecting to closure
  • Strong relationship management skills including relationship building, influencing, negotiation, and a consultative approach
  • Strong problem-solving and exceptional program management skills
  • An expansive depth and breadth of the Defined Contribution industry

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $222,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

Schedule

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model: Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
