Senior Director Consultant

Position: Senior Director Consultant Location: Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid) Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time (40 hours/week) Compensation: $150,000 to $175,000 annually Employment Type: Full-Time W-2 Employee with NOW CFO About NOW CFO NOW CFO is a national outsourced accounting and finance firm. We give businesses financial clarity and visibility through experienced consultants who partner with clients on the projects that matter most: cleanups, implementations, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and everything in between. Our Consultants are full-time W-2 employees. You’ll work with a variety of clients across industries, get exposure to different systems and business models, and never get stuck in the routine of a single seat. About the Role We’re expanding our Newport Beach team and looking for an experienced Senior Director Consultant to serve as a trusted finance leader to our clients. You’ll partner with executive leadership across a variety of industries, lead client engagements end-to-end, and bring enterprise-level finance thinking to businesses that are growing and scaling. What You’ll Do Serve as the primary finance leader on client engagements, often working directly with CEOs, CFOs, and ownershipOversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance initiativesLead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure GAAP compliant financial reportingBuild and maintain budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow modelsDeliver executive-level dashboards, variance analysis, and strategic insightsLead ERP implementations, system cleanups, and process improvement initiativesMentor client accounting teams and strengthen internal controlsSupport M&A, due diligence, audit prep, and other high-impact strategic projects as needed What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including Director or Senior Director level responsibilitiesStrong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting depthDeep budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance experiencePrior leadership and team management experienceMulti-industry exposure strongly preferredCPA preferred, not requiredExcellent communication skills and executive presenceComfortable working independently and managing multiple client engagements simultaneouslyWillingness to commute to different client sites in the Orange County / Newport Beach area Preferred Prior consulting or interim CFO experienceERP implementation experience (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)Experience with private equity backed, high growth, or multi-entity businessesBI tool fluency (Power BI, Tableau) What NOW CFO Offers Competitive base salary ($150K to $175K)Full benefits: medical, dental, and vision401(k) with company matchPaid time offCareer growth opportunities across our national footprintExposure to a wide variety of industries, systems, and business models #IND2
