Director, Creative Operations
This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Alternate CST/EST locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. About the Role
The Director of Creative Operations is responsible for facilitating cross-functional marketing automation technologies and leading operational strategy, workflow optimization, resource management, and lead capacity planning across the Creative Department to drive standardization, efficiency, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the management of creative operations technologies, workflows, and vendor partnerships including creative asset management systems, project management platforms, production vendors, freelance resources, multimedia services, translation services, and accessibility/508 remediation support.
- Develops and implements business process improvements to establish new strategies and achieve optimal savings for the Company.
- Stays abreast of and utilizes emerging technology, automation tools, and AI-enabled solutions to achieve efficiencies and administrative savings.
- Leads consultation services associated with producing and delivering creative assets, collateral, materials, and services.
- Partners with business-unit specific marketing management, member communications, B2B communications, and marketing planning and strategy to implement large-scale projects and process changes, leveraging marketing automation technologies.
- Identifies opportunities to improve the distribution of resources across the department with a disciplined project management approach.
- Uses data to drive process improvement projects.
- Builds and implements metrics/KPIs (volumes, timeliness, satisfaction, results, etc.), and prepares/delivers monthly departmental reports.
- Assists with the development of the annual departmental budget and tracks monthly year-to-date budget status.
- Leads RFP initiatives (automation, creative, multimedia, etc.).
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading creative operations or agency operations strongly preferred.
- Experience leading creative capacity planning and resource management, including forecasting demand, optimizing team utilization, prioritizing work, and aligning creative resources with evolving business priorities.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience with Workfront and Airtable.
- Familiarity with Adobe and InDesign tools.
- Understanding of creative process and workflows.
Pay
For candidates working in person or virtually in Columbus, Ohio; Illinois; Maryland; Minnesota; New York; or Virginia, the salary range for this specific position is $124,320 to $223,776. The salary offered is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company, including geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.

Schedule
Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
