About the Role

Flex is scaling rapidly, and the way we run finance has to scale with us. We're hiring a Director of Corporate FP&A to own the company-wide FP&A function and serve as a strategic partner to the SVP of Finance and the broader leadership team. This is a high-leverage role with executive visibility: you'll own the corporate financial model and forecast, lead annual planning, own monthly FP&A processes, and partner on board materials.

What You'll Do

  • Own Flex's corporate financial model and consolidated forecast end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and a clear narrative behind every number.
  • Lead the annual planning process from top-down targets through bottoms-up department plans, partnering closely with department leaders, Strategic Finance and S&O to land an aligned, executable plan.
  • Own the monthly FP&A cadence — close-to-forecast cycles, variance analysis, business reviews, and reporting packages that drive sharper decisions across the company.
  • Partner with the SVP of Finance and Strategic Finance team on board materials, investor updates, and select reporting deliverables; translate complex financial dynamics into clear, executive-ready narratives.
  • Evaluate, select, and operationalize the right FP&A tooling for a company at our stage — building an AI-enabled tech stack that enables Finance to push the envelope on iteration and velocity.
  • Earnestly integrate Claude and other AI tools into the daily FP&A workflow — forecasting, variance commentary, scenario modeling, board prep — and set the standard for how the function uses them responsibly.
  • Coach and develop FP&A talent, raising the analytical bar and modeling the player-coach mindset of doing the hard work alongside the team.
  • Act as a thought partner to executives across Flex — bringing proactive insight, sharp questions, and a strong opinion on how financial discipline accelerates the business.

What You'll Bring

  • 8–10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with operating time at both high-growth, VC-backed companies and public companies; IPO experience is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated track record as an FP&A leader who knows what great looks like — and has built it before, not just observed it.
  • Deep expertise in corporate financial modeling, three-statement forecasting, annual planning, and monthly FP&A operations at scale.
  • Mastery of Excel and Google Sheets, paired with strong fluency in modern FP&A platforms (Pigment, Mosaic, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar) and a clear point of view on the right tools for a company at our stage.
  • Genuine excitement and commitment to using AI — Claude and other tools — as a core part of how the FP&A function operates and scales; you've already integrated AI into your own workflow.
  • Exceptional project and process management skills; you bring order to ambiguity and drive cross-functional work to completion without dropped balls.
  • Executive presence and communication skills — comfortable presenting to the board, partnering with the C-suite, and translating complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Player-coach mentality: willing and able to build the model yourself, and equally able to lead, develop, and elevate the people around you.
