Director, Corporate Counsel - Privacy

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing global privacy legal team
• Advises on compliance with global privacy laws and regulations
• Negotiates privacy terms in contracts with customers and vendors
• Provides daily legal support on privacy issues with a business-oriented approach
• Supports the investigation and analysis of potential privacy incidents
• Develops and maintains comprehensive privacy policies and standards
• Builds relationships to offer strategic, practical advice for business compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of in-house or law firm experience as a practicing attorney
• 5+ years of experience specializing in privacy and data protection in a SaaS context
• Strong understanding of privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
• Proven track record in managing a team of privacy legal professionals on a global scale
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with non-legal stakeholders
