About the Role
Tenable is seeking an experienced Director of Content Marketing who will act as the architect of our content strategy, ensuring our thought leadership and marketing assets are strategic and differentiated. Your mission is to bring clarity, consistency, and authority to our messaging, positioning Tenable as the undisputed leader in exposure management, winning the trust of the CISO, and empowering the practitioner.
The ideal candidate will bring cybersecurity experience and a journalistic approach to developing content that engages and informs technical B2B audiences. This leader will transform proprietary research, executive expertise, and customer insights into compelling market narratives, sitting at the intersection of Corporate Communications, Tenable Research, Product Marketing, and Revenue Marketing.
Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, the Director will lead the content marketing team, combining strategic planning with hands-on writing and editorial leadership.

- Strategic Leadership & GEO Transformation:
- Lead programmatic growth by maintaining and expanding Tenable’s leadership position through the global Exposure Management Leadership Council.
- Nurture and support Tenable’s CISO relationships, coordinate regular discussions, peer-to-peer engagement, and translate insights into original reports and content.
- Partner with Tenable Research to influence the research calendar and pillar initiatives that support thought leadership, competitive differentiation, and customer engagement.
- Champion SEO/GEO (Generative Engine Optimization):
- Implement a GEO-first approach to all external marketing content, ensuring visibility, authority, and citation potential across AI-powered answer engines and traditional search.
