About the role

The Director of Communications at Lifepoint Health supports the Company's and its affiliated hospitals' priorities and initiatives through public/media relations and communications strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide public/media relations and communications support to the Company and its hospitals through the development of proactive resources and training.
  • Aid in the development of strategic company-wide initiatives and provide communications planning and support.
  • Manage online content and communications strategy for Company intranet homepage, websites, and social media communities.
  • Monitor traditional and social media platforms for trending content, conversations, topics, events, and news.
  • Interface with other HSC departments and outside subject matter experts to coordinate appropriate communications strategies, as needed.
  • Support and assist the Vice President, Communications as needed or instructed.
  • Manage communications efforts for cultural programs, Company, and social responsibility initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in public relations, media relations, and crisis management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media management.
  • Knowledge of crisis communication and public relations best practices.
