About the role
The position is responsible for managing U.S. Commercial Real Estate Finance (CREF) credit risk across non-recourse mortgage lending, warehouse finance, and related distribution-eligible CRE exposures. The role oversees credit risk across the CREF platform, covering non-recourse commercial real estate mortgage lending, warehouse finance, and related loan distribution activity, including CMBS.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior credit risk leadership for the U.S. CREF platform.
- Develop and maintain credit risk frameworks, including underwriting standards and lending parameters.
- Assess proposed CREF transactions and portfolio risks.
- Present CREF credit risk matters to relevant credit and risk committees as required based on adjudication levels.
- Support engagement with U.S. regulators.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in commercial real estate credit risk.
- Knowledge of CRE loan distribution and securitization concepts, including CMBS.
- Understanding of CRE warehouse finance and loan-on-loan structures.
- Knowledge of U.S. regulatory expectations.
- Comfort presenting credit matters to senior management.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of progressively senior credit risk experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $185,400.00 - $310,600.00 per year, which may vary based on factors such as relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
