Director, Code Compliance Facilities (Electrical)

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves all design drawings for compliance with Federal, State, and City Codes/regulations, standards, System Safety Regulations, and applicable policy.
• Prepares guidelines and reference materials for DOS employees.
• Interacts with senior managers in various departments and Construction & Development (C&D) as well as City and State agencies.
• Represents the Senior Director, as needed, particularly on Code Compliance and facilities capital projects.
• Responds to emergencies and other critical occurrences, 24 hours/7 days a week.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience, of which four (4) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.

Preferred Skills

• Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer.
• NYS Building Code Enforcement Certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications.
• Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code).

Pay

Salary Range: $103,721 - $146,827 (Grade C)

Monday-Friday (7:00am-3:00pm), or as required.
