Responsibilities
- Oversight of clinical protocols
- Oncology nurse navigation
- Clinical care pathways
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Alignment of clinical operations with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Direct management of the centralized Piedmont Oncology Navigation Center's clinical staff, cancer genetics, and Lead Advanced Practice Providers
- Lead efforts to reduce unwarranted variation, improve throughput, and support resource stewardship
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Director of Infusion and Radiation Business Operations and hospital-based Directors of Oncology Operations to execute system-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing Required or Graduate of an accredited accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
- Clinical doctoral degree (e.g. Doctor of Nursing Practice) Preferred
- Work Experience: 10 years of progressively responsible oncology experience to include five (5) years of leadership experience managing clinical operations for oncology service lines. Required Experience practicing as an advanced practice provider in oncology Preferred
- Licenses and Certifications: Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) Upon Hire Required or PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required and Updated NCCPA certification for PAs Upon Hire Required
