About the role

Responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the respiratory care/EEG & Sleep Center departments and coordinates with other departments to provide the highest standard of patient care.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience
• Work Experience: 9 years progressive work experience and 4 years management experience
• Credentials: State licensure and/or professional certification as required; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking (continuous); climb stairs, work outside in temperature extremes, work from elevated areas, work in confined/cramped spaces, perform job functions from kneeling positions, bend at waist, twist at waist, squat (frequent/infrequent as noted); perform pinching, gross/fine motor activities with fingers and hands, reach overhead, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows/shoulders, use both legs, use lower extremities for balance, reach in all directions (continuous); lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted, lift/lower 50 lbs. from/to floor to 36 inches, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs., exert up to 50 lbs. of force (infrequent/frequent as noted); maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects, match/discriminate colors, determine distance/depth perception, good peripheral vision, maintain hearing acuity, perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements, deal effectively with stressful situations, work rotating shifts, work overtime as required, work in latex safe environment, maintain tactile sensory functions (continuous); ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function, be qualified physically for respirator use (selected positions)
